CRAFTS QUARTER IN MONDOÑEDO

“Barrio dos Muíños” is a traditional artisan quarter in Mondoñedo. In the potteries they mould the clay to obtain both modern and traditional objects that are then decorated by hand. A stonemason who sculpts granite, marble and slate in the traditional way to achieve unique pieces. Across the street, Ton Arenas, a scenographer and poster designer, also makes and manages puppets and their sets. He produces shows, artistic and useful objects. All this while visiting the historical centre of the former capital of the province.
