ROUTE AMONG LIGHTHOUSES AND BATTERIES

This is a hiking route of 17 kilometres along the northwest coast of Ferrol, walking between the Prioriño Chico lighthouse and the beach of O Vilar-Covas. You will be able to see the exterior of the lighthouse at Cape Prioriño Chico, as well as its 18th century batteries and a beautiful panoramic view of the Gulf of Ártabro, with A Coruña and its Tower of Hercules in the background. We continue northwards, on narrow paths with the remains of military batteries from the beginning of the 20th century. We will cross the beaches of Penencia and Doniños, with the remains of its castle, and then the pine forest of San Jorge to reach its beach, which we will cross until we reach the beach of O Vilar in the place of Covas.
